Michelle Corcoran

Michelle Masella Corcoran is a proud co-founder and owner of Inspro, an insurance

agency she helped establish alongside her father in 1988. Licensed to write life, health, property, and casualty insurance across North Carolina and most of the East Coast, Michelle has been a trusted presence in the industry since 1986.

Her passion lies in crafting insurance solutions for the hospitality industry, working with restaurants, bars, nightclubs, food trucks, catering businesses, and special events to safeguard them from risks. Earlier in her career, Michelle focused heavily on

construction, a sector she still represents today, partnering with major builders, artisans, and tradesmen pioneering alternative energy and green building.

For Michelle, one of the most rewarding aspects of her career is supporting startup

businesses and watching them thrive. She loves helping clients navigate uncharted

waters, building lasting relationships rooted in trust and friendship.

Beyond her profession, Michelle has been married to Bill Corcoran since 2005, and together they share the joy of raising their twins, Nic & Ali, the light of their lives. When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her involved in her children’s activities or indulging in her love for cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends. She’s a dedicated fan of the Carolina Hurricanes and Wolfpack football and always eager to explore the newest restaurant in town. In the winter, she enjoys the warm waters of West Coast Mexico, and each year, she and her family take a canoe trip down the New River—a cherished tradition.

Michelle deeply values the relationships she’s built with her clients, many of whom have been with her since Inspro’s early days. She wants them to know: “My life revolves around my family, and Inspro is an extension of that. When I started this business, it was my baby, and I’ve nurtured it just as I do with my own children. Most of my clients have been with me since the 80s, and I consider them family. I will always take care of them as I would my own.”

Al Masella

Alphonse A Masella Jr (just call him Al) is a combat veteran and retired US Army officer that came to North Carolina State to get his advanced degrees in Economics and Statistics. He was doing a little "life insurance" on the side when his daughter Michelle said she would like to work with her dad. His Inspro career began in 1987 when they started the agency, and they have been together since! Al specializes in life, accident and health and assists in the property & liability side of the business. With a lot of hard work and good friends it became a family business where most clients became part of the Inspro family.

Al is now semi-retired from the insurance business and when he is not in the office, he is off traveling to new and familiar places with the love of his life. Al and Claudine love to travel and are enjoying their off time as they should! If Al is not traveling, he is also keeping up with the grandkids. His favorite title in life is "Papa" and he wears it well! Through the years, he is either their biggest supporter while they are on stage, sitting in a cold ice rink or just being in their lives any way he can. All 4 grandchildren make him smile and keep his heart full.

Here's how we're different

We are a local agency which means our customers are able to speak with a live agent when they need us. That also entails our agents being able to provide coverage options including commercial property and workers compensation and personal lines like home and auto. In addition, we can provide life, health and disability insurance protection as group coverage or individual coverage. Our team can tailor a policy to meet the needs of every customer that walks through our door.

We can offer our customers expert advice on a large variety of specialized insurance needs and requirements. Our team of agents is prompt, knowledgeable, and responsive – always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the satisfaction of each customer.

Proud advocates of Wake County communities

We’re directly integrated to the local community. Every person on our staff was born and raised in the Wake County area and has ties to the community. We are proud community advocates and show our support through volunteerism with organizations like Interfaith Food Shuttle’s Taste of Hope and Blossoms of Hope, Carolina Hurricanes Foundation, Cadco Construction Golf Tournament benefiting the Autism Society of NC and local Chambers of Commerce. Our involvement within the community we serve gives us the opportunity to further connect with our customers and establish long standing relationships.
